I, like an olive tree in the house of God,

trust in God's faithful love forever.

I will praise you always for what you have done:

I will proclaim before the faithful that your name is good!

Who will set a guard over my mouth,

and upon my lips and effective seal,

That I may not fail through them,

that my tongue may not destroy me?

Lord, Father and Master of my life, permit me not to fall by them!

"Amen, amen, I say to you, whoever believes in me will do the works that I do, and will do greater ones than these, because I am going to the Father.  And whatever you ask in my name, I will do, so that the Father may be glorified in the Son.  If you ask anything of me in my name, I will do it."

Lord, show me your way;

lead me on a level path because of my enemies.

Do not abandon me to the will of my foes;

malicious and lying witnesses have risen against me.

But I believe I shall enjoy the Lord's goodness

in the land of the living.

Wait for the Lord, take courage;

be stouthearted, wait for the Lord!
